Three wonderful concerts!

I´ve been going back and forth all summer travelling to Öland and then going back to Gothenburg again. It´s all because of three concerts I´ve been doing in the Kalmar-Öland area. Three VERY different concert but all very fun!

The first one was in Kalmar Stadspark together with the bigband Oldtimers. I sang four standard tunes and it´s so much fun singing with a big band, I always enjoy that and I want to do that much more offen than I do now.

Always a pleasure to meet the leader of Oldtimers Hans Duned and I also got to meet singer Christoffer Ling and saxophone player Bertil Jonas Jonasson. Very good musicians and very nice people too!

Although it rained a bit, we had a faithful audience who were very supportive. Thank you all for coming!

The second concert was a bit different from what I´m used to... that´s because I sang for the Swedish Crown Princess Viktoria and Prince Daniel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEY!

They came to collect their wedding gift from the municipality of Borgholm, two elm trees planted on the square in Borgholm in their honour. Very beautiful...
Me and the talented pianist and composer Harald Erici got the opportunity to perform two songs during the celebration. We chose to do the title track from my album "Facing South" and also a new piece, a lyric by Stagnelius set to music by Harald as a preview to his upcoming premiere "Stagnelius in concert" this autumn. And wow wow wow...it was an amazing experience singing for the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel. And the square of Borgholm was packed with people! Such a day... couldn´t be better!

The same day but in the evening I had a concert with my dad P-O Rylander. Last summer we did a concert in a restored cabin called Sjöstugan just close by the ocean. The place has got new owners but still they wanted to have us performing again this summer. Which we were very happy to do because last time it was a magical night.

This year was also a great concert, I don´t know but every time we play there something amazing happens. As last year we had an extraordinary sunset and the lighting was just... wow... And when we played the last piece Ölandssången the sun disappeared in the ocean just as we played the last chord. What can I say...

Hope to come back again...

So three amazing concerts that will stay in my heart forever- CHECK!

Two concerts on wednesday!

On wednesday the 13th of July I will do two preformances in Borgholm, Öland. That´s something extraordinary...

The first is together with pianist and composer Harald Erici. Our Crown Princess Viktoria and Prince Daniel are collecting their wedding gift given by the municipality of Borgholm and me and Harald are preforming two songs. That will be so much fun, hope to sell some CDs too...

The second is a two hour long concert (with a break of course) together with my father P-O Rylander at Sjöstugan. It´s an old restored cabin near the ocean where you can dine or take a "fika" or in this case listen to some really good music. Or why not do everything? =)
Me and my father did the same concert last summer and it was a big success. That´s why we wanted to do it again. Looking forward to it!

An article in SvD!

It was a huge article about me in the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet on friday the 1st of July. The reporter Adam Svanell also wrote that he thought my voice makes the record both playful and unique. He also thought it was refreshing to interview me unlike other artists with big egos. It feels good that people not only like my music but also me as a person. That makes everything easier.

Here´s the interview were you also can find links to a web session i did for SvD. Me and Simon Westman play two songs from my album. Fun, fun, fun!
